China grass pudding recipe



CHINA GRASS PUDDING FULL RECIPE:

Ingredients:
Plain china grass (Agar agar) – 10gm
Milk – 500ml
Water – 500ml
Cardamom (Elaichi) – 4 to 5
Sugar – 4 to 5 full tablespoon 
Cashew nuts – handful 

Step 1. Unwrap plain china grass and dip it in clean water for about 5 seconds. Then cut it into small pieces. You can cut it without dipping in water. But it may be hard.

Step 2. In a bowl, take about ½ litre of water. Add the crushed china grass into it. Let it boil for about 15 to 20 min (till the china grass dissolves completely in water)

Step 3. Take 4 to 5 cardamoms with 2 tsp of sugar in a mixer jar & blend it till powdered.

Step 4. Now, boil 500ml of milk in a high flame. When it comes to boiled state, add 4 tbsp of sugar and add crushed cardamom + sugar powder in it. Let it dissolve completely.

Step 5. Make a look into the china grass boiling in water. It may get dissolved. Turn off the flame.

Step 6. Also check whether sugar is dissolved completely in boiling milk. Turn off the flame & leave it for about 2 min. 

Step 7. Now, take a strainer and add the boiled milk into the china grass dissolved water. Let the crushed cardamom seeds get strained. Make a mix of all the combined mixture together.

Step 8. You can take small bowls or a wide tray to pour the pudding mixture. 

Step 9. To garnish the pudding, take some cashew nuts and crush it. 

Step 10. Refrigerate the pudding for 5 minutes & sprinkle the crushed nuts on it. 

Note: Do not add the nuts right after the pudding mixture is added into the bowl / tray. As it is watery, the nuts will get stay down.
